Between 1872 and 1890 the Goodridge
brothers invested in cameras that allowed them to make what the Saginaw
Evening Express called "mammoth views. 20 x 25 inches."
The cameras and the brothers' growing reputation brought new orders.
The Driving Park on Jefferson Street
in Saginaw hosted one of William's pastimes, horse racing. In 1887 his
horse Billy G. merited mention in the Cleveland Gazette.
One of the Goodridges' regular
customers was the Flint and Pere Marquette Railroad. The brothers
photographed countless scenes along the line, as well as the yards and
the Potter Street Depot.
