Michigan Apron Challenge

You may know the makers of some of the aprons exhibited in Apron Strings!

Group photo of Challenge winners at reception, July 17, 2002Sewers entered the Michigan Apron Challenge in spring 2002, vying for prizes from the Michigan Historical Museum and Country Stitches, one of America's largest quilt shops.

Perhaps you know someone who sewed their love for Michigan,  American patriotism or fondness for vintage styles and fabrics into an apron in one of these themes: Michigan, PATRIOTIC or Vintage Look.

The contest ended on May 24, 2002. Prizes were awarded on July 17, 2002, at a reception at the museum’s special exhibit See the winning aprons in these categories:
