Michigan Apron Challenge
You
may know the makers of some of
the aprons exhibited in Apron Strings!
Sewers
entered the Michigan Apron Challenge in spring 2002, vying for
prizes from the Michigan Historical
Museum and Country Stitches, one of America's largest quilt shops.
Perhaps you know someone who sewed their love for Michigan,
American
patriotism or fondness for vintage styles and fabrics into an apron in one of
these themes: Michigan,
PATRIOTIC
or Vintage
Look.
The
contest ended on May 24, 2002. Prizes were awarded on July 17, 2002, at
a reception at the museum’s special exhibit.
