Growing Up in Michigan, 1880-1895,
is based on the diaries and/or reminiscences of five
children who grew up in Michigan during these years. They were
chosen for their varied geographic locations; the variety of their
cultural, social and economic heritage; and their accomplishments during
their adult years.
The exhibit opened to the
public on March 6, 1993, and is part of the Michigan Historical Museum's
permanent galleries.
